Bonsai Japanese Cuisine: Fresh Sushi and Ramen Delights in Roseville, CA

This place has become our go to!!! My favorite as my whole families and we go weekly cause its truly your best of the best and we’ve tried allot of places and these rolls are bigger then most and you can actually build your own. Their Spicy Edamame is so yummy!!! If your not too much into fishy rolls the deep fried California roll is my favorite this place is truly 5 stars

The food is unmatched! We all had different variations of Bento boxes, rainbow roll, salmon roll and Lion King. The service was great... the staff is super kind. We'll definitely be back

Food is delicious & high quality. Service is amazing. Price is incredibly reasonable. Atmosphere is not “high end” but it is authentic, warm, and welcoming. This is our #1 sushi pick. We don’t visit frequently, but they always remember us. Highly recommend. Our son says it’s the best chicken teriyaki he’s ever had in his life. He’s 12.

Very beautiful presentation of dishes. Huge portions. I know not everyone likes this. But if your goal is to come and eat your fill with one portion of rolls, then this is the place for you. Very tasty dishes, everything is fresh. They cook in an open kitchen, and you can see the cooking process. This inspires confidence. The staff is very friendly and works quickly. People just came later, and I noticed that many of the waitresses already know each other, which means they have a lot of regular customers. The restaurant is very clean, but I can’t say that it’s really luxury. No, it’s just an ordinary sushi restaurant. I always miss some coziness and beauty there to give it a full five. Otherwise, I consider this restaurant one of the best in terms of freshness, level of service and portion size in Roseville.

Don't let the appearance of the restaurant deter you!! When you first walk in, you may think to yourself, "Hmmmm... this is a little sus." And you know what? You're right! But the food??? DELICIOUS! I wish I had gotten pictures of everything at the table, but I didn't. I was too busy enjoying my roll! I ordered the Cherry Blossom, which is a fairly standard roll at most sushi restaurants. The presentation was , and the flavor was great! I will definitely go back again!

We visited on Saturday afternoon around 2pm and were seated immediately. The service was prompt and we got our order within 10 mins. They gave us complimentary edamame which was nice. - California roll: good. The proportion of rice & filling were very good. The imitation crab filling was well seasoned. - Tempura roll: delicious. The shrimp tempura pieces were crispy. - Spicy tuna crunch: good. It wasn’t overly spicy but the heat was there. The tuna tasted fresh and the crunchy bits gave a nice texture to the dish. - Agedashi tofu: just ok. It wasn’t traditional Japanese agedashi as it was more like fried tofu with dipping sauce. Tastewise, they were good.

These are the best sushi ever! I highly recommend this place — it’s our absolute favorite. The rolls are always fresh and delicious, the portions are huge, and the staff is absolutely amazing — so kind and friendly! If you’re trying to decide where to go for sushi, don’t even hesitate — just come here! I’m sure you’ll fall in love with it just like I did.

The staff are great. They shared a treat woth my daughter and checked in on us and others frequently. They treat you like family really. The food was prepared quickly and was plated beautifully. The taste was awesome I want to return.
